Health For The Soul By Shirley Vestal There is beauty and harmony all around. There are mountain hikes, with wildflower meadows, and the music of little flowing streams. There is paddling a kayak on clam blue water, with the jagged Olympic Mountains in one direction, and the gentle lines of Mount Rainier filling the landscape in the other. There is joy in the fragrant smell of a flower. There is delight in the taste of fresh ripe fruit. Peace in petting the soft fur of a purring kitten. What revives the soul? It might be the blessing of a child. Perhaps knowing the companionship and love of a true friend. Maybe it is helping our fellow man. The magnificence of the natural world abounds. We see, hear, smell, touch and taste physically. Creation declares the glory of God! What a blessing there is in acknowledging Him with a humble grateful heart. See His splendor in the sunrays glowing through the dense forest. Smell His renewing freshest in the rain. Taste the goodness of His provision in very bit of food. Feel His loving kindness even in the deepest darkest silence. Hear Him softy whispering that a majestic sunrise is about to dawn! God saw all that He had made, and it was very good. Genesis 1:31 Helping people be their best.
